Ice Skating at the Promenade

On Thursday, after school, we headed out to Westminster to go ice skating. We also met our friends there which you will see in some of the pictures. Lucky for us it was cheapskate night and it didn't cost too much. It's a great place but I think I prefer the smaller rinks at Christmas time where they have things for the kids to hold onto and sleighs for the littler ones. We had a great time though.

Well, Jagger didn't. He fell asleep on the way over and didn't get a chance to wake up properly and decided he was not in the mood for skating!

Blurry pic, but we caught the spirit. Ally was a natural on the ice!

Changing socks and getting skates tightened.

Giggle, skate, giggle, skate....giggle, skate, fall down! That's my James.

Another group of cuties...goodness we are blessed!

When it was time to leave and everyone was getting off the ice Ally was way at the other end and was the only one on the ice. I skated over to hold her hand and bring her out a bit quicker. Unfortunately she took a bad fall (which Jen just happened to catch the middle of in this picture) and banged her head against the ice and got a huge goose egg bump. She was so upset and swore she would never skate again. I hope she loses the memory of that though because she really was a natural and we kept calling her the Ice Princess. Poor girl.

Getting some loving on the ice because I couldn't carry her on skates but I couldn't let her skate off screaming like she was either.
The kids were worn out from school and skating Thursday night. We didn't even eat dinner until 7pm! It was pretty easy to get the kids to bed that night though!
