We have a new puppy!!
His name is Marley (for now, because when the kids say it, it sounds like Molly and he's a boy!) and he is 12 weeks old. My friend, Anna, is moving and needed to find a new home for the puppy and she asked my family. We have been wanting a dog since we came to Colorado and so it was all perfect timing. The kids had no idea and were so excited. There has been a lot of running and laughing in my house today!
Jagger is a little timid around dogs. He goes to pet him but runs away when Marley tries to lick him. Marley picked up one of Jagger's toys with his mouth though and Jagger was like "NO DOG! THAT'S MY CAR! GIVE IT TO MEEEEEE!" At least I know he can assert himself.
James thought it was super cool that we could go to Pet Smart and the pup could go in the store with us. It was the first thing he told Kaylee when she got home.
And get this...we swung by Chick Fil A to get Jim lunch on the way to the store. The lady inside saw Marley in the car and gave him a dog treat in a little Chick Fil A bag. How cute is that?! They really cater to the dogs here...literally!
Kaylee was thrilled when she came home. Poor Marley had gone on three walks in the first hour that Kaylee got home from school. I wonder how long that's going to last?!!
The only person not so happy with the new addition....Poncho. For now I think he'll be staying in high places to check out the enemy! I'm hoping he will warm up to him. There is enough love in our hearts for both of our animal babies!
