All covered with kids!! (sung to the tune of On Top of Spaghetti for those of you that didn't get it).
We spent Friday at the Rocky Mountain National Park. We drove in to Aleuvial Falls (I think that is the name...I kept messing it up!) and let the kids climb the boulders and jump rocks across the waterfall. They had a blast!
This is by far the best picture of the week!
While we were playing, the weather began to change, it got cold and we could see the snow crossing the tops of the mountains, come down the side and head right towards us. It was magical to watch....and Emily and Ally finally got to see it snow here.
Kaylee and Emily dubbed themselves "survivors" and found a cave for shelter. They even came up with a call "whoot whoot whoot whoot" which one would say first and the other would repeat so that they could find each other easily. Funny girls.
Surprisingly no one fell in. We had some wet pant bottoms but that was the worst of it.
After we left the national park we went into town to do some souvenir shopping and to stop for a treat. Here are Ally and James enjoying theirs.
On the way down the mountain we saw about 15 deer off the side of the road...you can see the snow coming down here. We also saw about 10 moose on the way home but we didn't have the camera out in time for that one...too bad.
